Prometheus - UE5

Finally, I've managed to polish enough one of the many tests I've been doing with UE5 to be published . The main goal of this test was to become more familiar with the new engine and explore the new features that Lumen brings.

The main reference for this little scene has been the film Promethus and a hint of Returnal.

All the light is dynamic using Lumen and has not been thought to be performant or in-game, I just tried to make that shot as good as possible.

For the local fog, I used probably not the best solution, but an easy one, so I just created a particle effect that spawns volumetric particles, and set it up to keep the particles where I wanted them to be.

All the rock meshes and textures are from the Valley of the Ancient demo and the character is from the UE Marketplace: https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/sci-fi-armor-09
